Sam Jennings

For my MA Couture Workwear collection I wanted collaborate with makers I admire. The masters gave me a purpose and time to do this which led to me creating some beautiful wooden hanger with the charming Sam Jennings. Having met Sam during our time at Falmouth University of Arts, I got to see his sublime skills in action and it became a dream o mine to one day collaborate with him. At the time I lacking eureka moments but I’m so glad that my MA gave me a excuse to work with same a years late.

To store and display my garments in their playful manner I required some beautifully made hangers. Lucky for me Sam was up for a collaborative project and challenge and we began discussing on whats app,  going back and fourth, sending photos and scribbled drawings to develop metal wiggles and clean finishing details we were content with. His enthusiasm to work together gave us a shot at finally having a go to collaborate, so thank you Sam! This hopefully is just a glimpse of the beginning of many more collaborations together.

Sam now lives and works in Bristol.
