Tallulah Book
Tallulah Book
Based between London and St Ives, Cornwall film photographer and multifaceted creative Amelia Posey Zalika Pemberton is known for celebrating the spontaneous moments in life that are reflective of her own innate vibrancy, and a passion for making the most of every day that comes her way. Intertwining childhood nostalgia, vintage styling and British landscapes, Amelia’s recognisable style is expressed across different mediums in a personal yet varied way; resulting in an ever-growing portfolio of work that captures the creation of her own world, intended to be shared with others.
Favouring women as her subject, in celebration of those who inspire and bring much to this world through their wild ways and individuality, Amelia’s latest publication Tallulah is the second in a series of self- published photography books that focus on female muses.
“When Amelia takes photos of me, she makes me feel seen. Like being me is a good thing to be. So I can roll around at ease, doing strange things like eat flowers or climb across giant Gunnera leaves.” - Tallulah Pomeroy.
Offering a selection of photographs that portray child-like freedom and unprompted liberty, encouragement for others to embrace personal traits they may shy away has been intertwined within the full colour imagery of Tallulah. Presenting blissful moments in nature, the female form becomes one with the landscape across barley fields, coastal rock pools and bright blue skies. Climbing trees as an act of remembering the playfulness inside of us all, often forgotten by day to day life, meets the inhibited feeling of embracing the sunshine in the nude as an act of liberation, purely for oneself. The removal of props, clothing and accessories draws attention to how little is needed to create joy and how much nature gives to us, with little expectation in return.
“I hope these images inspire you to explore fields, hidden paths and embrace the sea in all its wild glory! It will do you SO much good - let that inner child out to play.” - Amelia Posey Zalika Pemberton
