A playful full-length dress for special occasions, whether this is a particular event or simply your every day, the Ariane Dress is made from a free flowing 100% modal satin and has an elegant, graceful cut with the option to wrap and tie fabric from the back around the front of the body. We love the effortless elegance of this style and have integrated an unconstrained fit for comfort.

Developed from a pattern cutting experiment during DARN’s early days, which invited play and material manipulation to create overlapping shapes that were then re-created in garment form, the Ariane Dress is our first dress design and an extra special one at that.

The repeat navy, blue and off-white screen print was inspired by a visit to Great Dixter House & Gardens in early spring when the tulips were in full bloom and was hand illustrated before being translated into a screen print pattern.

Allowing you to find your favourite way to style the Ariane Dress, a pull cord to one side of the body allows you to gather and lift the skirt free flowing to sit higher on the leg, which we have found is perfect for when you are dancing! The top has a flattering sleeveless halter cut with a contrast solid blue collar and a revealing bare back.
